The personal training team is very strong. Ben and Chelsea, in particular, are great teachers and motivators!

Genesis is a super interesting place. I signed up for a membership and went to take a look at some of their locations. 70th & A Location was super rundown it seemed. I went to play basketball but the gym almost looked like the scene of a horror movie, old style tiling, almost like a doctors office. It was smaller than anticipated truth be told. The lady at the front desk didn't seem too happy to work there. Greetings? Forget about it. It was enough to just make me cancel, I made that decision driving home so I stopped back at the O street location. Super nice inside that gym, but the amenities in there wasn't what I was looking for so I continued my journey of cancelling. Talked to the manager there, I had signed a form stating I was cancelling. It was during our interaction where he almost seemed sort of joyed to tell me that I would be charged for another month before the cancellation goes into effect. You know when someone feels they have one over you and can't wait to tell you how they "Got ya!"? This was the look he had. It was to his dismay that I was in the 3 day cancellation period and would be refunded back all my money (he didn't even know that was a thing). His demeanor changed slightly. He gave me a phone number to call their billing department to let them know I am cancelling, So I called that number. The lady on the phone assured me that she was taking care of it. I call back today, a week later. No sign of the money being returned, no notes in my account, nothing was done. Fantastic. Mallory in your billing department was super nice, probably the only silver lining in all of this, she promised me she's getting the refunded started right away, that it will take less than 30 days to get my money back and that I will be indemnified. Genesis was an interesting interaction, can't say you'll see me again though. Update: it is currently 3/28/2022. After two MORE calls after this review I STILL have not received my refund. I was told I’d receive a call back but never did. I really hope this helps others in their attempt at finding a gym. I tried to stray away from the YMCA specifically because of a sauna but I can say for sure they’d never do anything like this, will be going back.

I love going to Vanessa’s classes. She is a joy to be around and an excellent instructor. I also worked out with Brenna, as my personal trainer and enjoyed that too. She provided a wealth of knowledge which I am incredibly thankful for. Prairie Life/Genesis East Lincoln is a great gym. The staff are helpful and friendly and the building is large and clean. My husband and I joined this gym in 2015. We thoroughly enjoy our Genesis family. It’s our home away from home.

I’ve been going here for about a year and 1/2. Although not perfect always, genesis is a great place to join if you wanna reach goals in a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Management fixes issues when they become aware of them. The regulars are a good group too. Look forward to continuing to reach new goals and heights thanks to the quality people and quality equipment.

Have been with Genesis for 7 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. They consistently provide quality service and make positive updates to their facilities. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you can find what you need here. The members are also inclusive and polite.

I’ve been a member here since Dec of 2019. They were great during the pandemic. The cleaning and sanitation hasn’t slowed down either. The friendly and family feel makes me want to come back on a daily basis. Ben can set you up with a physical trainer that can help you develop your own workout plan. also suggest stopping and seeing Marie at the Cafe. She really has a great staff and tasty recovery shakes.

The community here makes me always feel welcome in the gym and the staff do an outstanding job on taking care of the members. The pool is a great way to relax and cool off after a workout!

Very pushy staff. Not very welcoming and lied about the cost and fees. Feels very dirty. I have tried to cancel several times and never get a response from anyone just we will get back to you and never have. Still charging my account.

Complete gym with workouts, classes, and activities for everyone. Affordable price and good atmosphere. Genesis Health club has it all!

Gym is always dirty. They probably don’t even clean the equipments. Used some dumbbells and got chalk on both my hands. I wasn’t told that the weights came with lifting chalks. Gym doesn’t seem like it has the minimum standards. Not recommended for older folks who can’t deal with the chaos. Also not worth the price.
