I spent 2 months watching the website and I found the perfect dog for me and my fiance. They had a wonderful profile made for him, he received quality care, and came with all of his vaccines, and a collar and leash. 10/10 would adopt another animal here!

The staff are rude and disrespectful to prospective pet parents. They judge based on appearance, address, and occupation. They lie on the website and in person, while making you feel like your the worst person on the planet. The place needs new staff that actually care about the animals and are willing to provided truthful information on the animals prior to adopting. I worry about the animals in this negative environment.

We adopted a kitten from this shelter about a month ago. She has had diarrhea since day 1 that was not disclosed to us. We asked before adopting her if she had ongoing health issues and were told she did not, but looking closer at her vet records there is a pattern of repeated de-wormings and fecal exams that must have been because of this. While we are glad to have adopted her, she should have not been adopted out until she was healthy; we have been taking her to the vet to try to resolve her issues.

every time I’ve gone there everyone has been nice. When it comes to replying to messages, I get left on seen or delivered when I want to know more information about a dog and it has happened atleast 3-4 times. Communication is terrible and I feel as if they don’t take things seriously unless you’re physically present at their location.

A beautiful facility and a great experience. We were adopted by the most loving and friendly cat who caught our attention and wouldn't let us leave without her. The staff is loving and caring and very helpful and the adoption process goes very smoothly. Looking for your next furry family member? This IS the place.

I'm very grateful I was able to file a lost pet report I live in Sioux City But was able to file for our German shepherd that we gave away and the people have a suspicious story as to what happened with him thankfully capital humane society has been wonderful working with us and hopes to find what happened to him whether he lost his life in the Creek at Wilderness park or was just neglectfully lost Because he got away on his leash. Thank you again

We adopted Rudy on March 3 at the Capital Humane Society Adoption Center. They were fast and efficient and gave us loads of good information. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect dog. Rudy is mild mannered and has the perfect disposition. He adjusted to his new forever home almost instantly. He is the perfect dog!

We found just the kitten we were looking for by a stroke of luck. She was at Pet Smart in Lincoln. Within an hour or so we were picking her up to take home. She was spayed, had a microchip, vaccinated, and well fed. The $100 fee was reasonable. They did follow ups with us after days 1 and 3. Lot's of good advice and Pet Smart gave us coupons for things she needed which saved us almost $30.

My husband and I adopted our cat there as an older kitten, and we're so grateful to them for bringing her into our lives! My experience with the shelter was very positive, and the people I interacted with were kind, compassionate, and helpful in the process of meeting cats as we looked for the right one to bring into our family. They really wanted to make sure we found a new friend that would be a perfect fit for us, and be able to share our lives for a long time. I really appreciate all that they do and their help! The online waiting app worked great, and I was able to coordinate an appointment right after I got out of work.
