One of the best BBQ places I have ever been to. All of the food was amazingly good. Like so good I ordered more to take on the road with me for the next day after eating my meal. Especially excellent were the burnt ends, baked beans, brisket, and fries. I'm not sure you could possibly go wrong. All their sauces are made in house and are top notch as well. I can't say enough good things. I WILL BE BACK! Added 4/6/2021: Still thinking about the food here. Not since the original Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City has a BBQ place left me craving it weeks after eating it. Just waiting for one of my friends to go to Kearney so I can force them to pick some up for me.

Fries were fantastic!!! I’d go back just for the fries, of course, the BBQ was delicious too. We’re marking this place as a favorite. Friendly and helpful staff…they even accommodated my request for a chicken salad lettuce wrap!

6.5/10 The beans are great. Nice complex smoky/subtly spicy flavor. Sweet and savory but not too much of either. The potato salad wasn't anything special. The pulled pork was really good quality. The spicy sauce is REALLY HOT. It looks like a chili paste almost. Mustard is decent. Really clean bathrooms. Nothing special on the menu but great food for Nebraska, where you can drive a fat minute without seeing any food. Kearny itself is a cute lil oasis. A bit on the pricey side for the area.

Hands down the best BBQ around. I’ve traveled the world and had BBQ everywhere I’ve gone and this is the best right in my home town!! I’ve never had a bad meal at S.A.M. QUE. Try the Brisket and/or burnt ends! So much flavor. The waffle fries are bomb and so are the pub pickles! On Wednesdays they do loaded ‘Spuds’ which are amazing. If you miss the spuds on Wednesday the loaded nachos are great as well! I also have to mention the homemade sauces. The ‘STU’ sauce has some heat and lots of flavor. The ‘Raspberry Chipotle’ is what I would call sweet heat. You can really taste the raspberry AND chipotle. Spread a little on the Texas Toast to top off the meal. Overall fair prices for the best food around served by ‘Nebraska Nice’ folks! S.A.M. QUE does not disappoint!!!

This was the 3 meats plate. Burnt ends were ok, ribs were very tender, and the brisket was also delicious. Portions seemed light, but full of flavor.

Stopped in to have a bite after readers a few reviews,and I must say. I ordered the brisket,pull pork,and ribs,and it was delicious. If you have a arpportunity ti stop by and gave bite,dont pass up the opportunity. Your taste buds will thank you

Food is good but WAY overpriced. I got flatbread meal and it was $17. Just some meat on a flatbread. And if you want sauce that’s extra money. My one side was beans which is $4 for maybe 4 bites. Not worth the expensive prices. Mom and dads in town is better and cheaper!

Good BBQ brisket and smoked sausage. The baked beans were very good. They have gluten-free buns for burgers. The water tastes horrible -they should install a filter.

Absolutely delicious! Every time I travel, I try and find “hidden gems” and this place is exactly that! From the smell of the smoked meat to the perfectly flavored, juicy brisket, this dinner was incredible. I’ll have to stop by again on my way back through!

Phenomenal food! Traveling across the country with my family and stopped here for dinner. Wednesday is the potato special and the reviews said to get that if you can above all else. My husband and I are in a food coma now. Need to drive another 4 hours but want to nap. The baked beans are out of this world! I want this recipe! As someone that eats bbq every chance I can, this was one of the best bbq places we have had.
