Went in to hopefully get much needed answers. I was upfront and said no to BC. When my labs came back all clear and I asked what the next step was, they said to get on BC. And when I again said no, they said all they could do next is offer BC. so, save your time and money if you want actual help and real answers. I’m sure there another OBGYN in Kearney that will display more compassion for you & not stop searching until you have answers.

Nurses and receptionists are lovely to deal with. However, you will wait well past your appointment time. I sat in a room for 2 hours just to hear the heartbeat of baby and that’s it. It’s my first pregnancy and I felt completely in the dark with anything. Never told anything about baby, my questions were never answered. Just “if you don’t hear from us that’s good” I switched providers and they told me there were several problems I should of known about that they never disclosed to me. Billing is a joke. When it comes to labor and delivery they want the full amount up front. Which was well over 6,000$. I haven’t even had any procedure, scan nothing at that time. I told them I’ll pay my co pay until I talked to my insurance. Turns out, I didn’t have to pay that amount at all. I paid a final bill after leaving and I got charged twice. It’s been 2 months and every week I call for my refund, I get a new excuse or method on when I’ll get my money. They say they’ll do it, then they say Dr Weir will be authorizing checks for those patients (I never saw him once). I’m in a loop of lies and I don’t want to give up because it’s not a small amount either. Avoid this place really. You’re better off at other doctors who will treat you like a human, not a paycheck.

Dr. Torpin is fantastic, always makes me feel comfortable and is just very pleasant! The rest of the staff who have helped me here are great also. I recommend them for sure!

Dr. Torpin is amazing! She has a kind and personable bedside manner and provides quality care. She did my hysterectomy surgery as well as ongoing care and everything has gone very well. In addition, all support staff has been friendly and knowledgeable.

When calling, some of the girls will act very annoyed with you and show little sympathy honestly just flat out rude sometimes. Wish they could learn to be more polite especially when they’re dealing with pregnant women, some that are at high risk.

Terrible bedside manner. The doctors don’t take the time of day to listen to people or educate them on their care. If you are pregnant i’d steer clear from this place. Especially if you have a history of miscarriage or health concerns that require extra care because you absolutely won’t get it here. Not to mention you’ll hardly ever see or hear from an actual doctor. There is far better providers in this town.

I had my son a year ago , and had Dr Torpin as my OBGYN , during my pregnancy if I had any concerns she answered them all very well and made me feel comfortable . All the staff is very welcoming and makes it welcoming to come back to every appointment .

I do not recommend seeing Dr. Torpin if you need anything outside of obstetrics. She is completely dismissive and unhelpful, I was seeing her while going through cervical cancer treatments and after to get help with hormone therapy. When I was in the hospital she refused to order a blood transfusion when my levels were so low I couldn't walk. After having my hormone levels tested I was prescribed medication to help with symptoms only. Given no advice or referral for hormone therapy, treatments, or what to do to prevent the common risks associated.

Dr. Torpin is great. I went in for the basic girly check up and it went wonderful. She answered all my questions and I didn't feel rushed out the door. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Staff was nice too and they seemed to listen to what I had to say also. I would go back if something else came up.

In a scary situation and being a new patient, everyone was absolutely wonderful. Every step was explained to me and every person I encountered during my visit was so amazing and nice. They made me feel comfortable and had all the information readily available for all my questions - and I feel like I had a lot! Can’t say thank you enough to Contemporary OBGYN. They came strongly recommended and there is a reason why.
