I will NEVER go through Century 21 Midland ever again. They made it impossible to break our lease (even when we paid for the coming months like it said to do in the contract to break the lease). We had a major roommate issue where the police were involved because there was violence and when the police told me to go to Century 21 to help get the unnamed violent person out, Century 21 didn't care at all. They don't care about the safety of their tenants and the apartment that they said they would "fix up" during the viewing, was still as bad when we moved in. The refrigerator had horrible mold in the back of it. The guys who came to replace it said they don't know how they let us move in with so much mold in it. And when we asked them to fix the torn up carpet in the first week (like we are told to report) because we didn't want to further damage it, they said they weren't going to fix it, yet that bill came out of my deposit. I asked them to fix it and they didn't, yet I am somehow responsible to pay for after I had to move out because they wouldn't help me. No. And when almost all of our windows and screens were broken when we moved in, and we asked them to fix it in that first week the guy who came just duct taped it and said "don't open your window" (which is meant to be a fire escape because we were in a basement). Never again will I work with these people. They only care about your money.

I have rented from Century 21 Midlands for over a year and a half. I am also aware of how maintenance requests are handled. Century 21 Midlands manages property for the owners so the rules and major maintenance governing certain addresses are also set and approved by the owners. When a contractor is called, THEY schedule repairs according to their own agendas. It would be nice if someone could just run over a do what we need right away, but that isn't realistic. Minor repairs most of the time are taken care of and you don't hear about the tenants pleased about that. Major repairs or replacements do take time and unfortunately just aren't satisfactory even with the powers that be. Communication is very important. If you have made a request, it is important to be patient and do follow up with the leasing agent.

Living at the Broadmoor was an overall good experience. We rented the two bedroom two bathroom and it was a lot of space for a great price. Greg, the maintenance guy, was great. There were a handful of times where there was miscommunication at the Century 21 office. For example, we had to fill out a lease extension form twice because they lost our original one and we never received a “move out checklist” although we gave them our 30 day notice before moving out. Since we just moved out we have not received a deposit back yet, but I get the impression that they do not follow the oringinal damage checklist that we filled out prior to moving in and they will keep most of our deposit even though there was no damage to our apartment.

Be prepared to cover any damages you may incur from their faulty appliances. They will offer two suggestions: buy the stuff you lost with your own money or pay for your own renters' insurance so that your insurance pays for the damages; still out of your own pocket! And do not expect a sliver of remorse from them; it's business for them, even if it is your livelihood. We lost all our food because of a faulty refrigerator and we tried to get in touch with our property manager, Alexis. She did not even take the time to hear from us. We were told, in essence, "sucks to be you for using our bad appliances. That's your problem."

I had viewed an apartment and ran home to get a check for a deposit. I get a call from them telling me they "didn't get my check until the next morning" I know for a fact I gave the deposit when they were at lunch. They know they messed up but didn't want to fix it. I highly recommend nobody rent from this place. They started out okay but then turned rude. Alexis was very impatient with me and didn't want to admit that what happen wasn't right. Please save yourself sometime.

Lived here for a year, in that time we had three snakes in our apartment(basement of a house) we were told it’s “natural” so it’s our responsibility. I had my son end of July and we called on a Saturday for an emergency maintenance request because our air conditioner was broken and no one ever got back to us. My son was 4 days old and they neglected to take care of their tenants. When we moved out (early because it was so bad) I called and ask why no one came for maintenance and they told me they never got a call. They will take basically all of your security deposit as well. Alexis doesn’t care about her tenants or properties.

Only after accumulating 3 different work orders did they send someone out to try to fix our AC. This was after multiple days of us having to call about the issue because our trailer was consistently getting to around 90 degrees with the windows open and the fans on. If you want to avoid getting ripped off or dealing with unpleasant people than I would stay clear of any business which employs or is connected to Alexis McNeal.

I lived in my unit for 5 years and the ownership/management changed to C21 after 3 years (previous was NP). I had a very positive experience with NP (never even had a rent hike). After C21 took over, it took less than two years for rent to increase by over 17% with no improvements to the property. Upon move-out, the manager was 45min late to the appointment I scheduled (the office told me they wrote down the wrong time, but she was even 15min later than that). I was returned 53% of my security deposit (my previous rental returned 100%).

I will never ever again rent from Century 21 Midlands. Alexis McNeal is an absolutely terror to work with. The lady at the front desk isn’t much better. An incredibly unorganized company and don’t ever expect to get your deposit back. They are slum lords and they don’t care at all about their tenants. Do yourself a favor and look at renting literally anywhere else but here.

Rented a unit for a little over 2 years and was a terrible time. Alexis is terrible. Never could call me back after leaving multiple voice-mails. Would take days to get any repair request approved. For $1300 a month in rent I'd expect better service. Glad I bought my home through Coldwell and if I ever needed to rent again I'd go back through Kearney Rental Pros or honestly anyone else.
