Applebee's Grill + Bar

Terrible service, used to be good, has gotten really terrible. No waiter, ordered fish and chips, got just fish. Brought me the rest when I asked and it was like they scraped the scraps from the bottom of the fryer. Won’t be going back anytime soon. For what it costs and what we got, no way.

As a worker I feel it’s very unfair having three Cooks plus a manger that was very helpful…. Having eight servers is overwhelming….:it’s unfair to the cooks it puts a heavy stress on them and gets to cooks mindsets causes too much of downtime

Barely any Alfredo sauce on noodles and service was horrible.

I understand they were short of servers, so we sat at the bar with was fine. There were very people in the restaurant but the food took a very long time. It seemed like the staff was standing around chatting instead of helping the customers.

The waiter we had was on point, food was great but some items could have been warmer. Wasn't busy so we got seated quickly. All things considered a good experience.

There hasn’t been a time I’ve come here where the food hasn’t blown me away (I’m a good way). The service is super friendly and it’s one of the best restaurants by far in Kearney. Honestly, this restaurant is even better than more fancy restaurants like the ones downtown. Very impressed!

We've always enjoyed Applebee's but since they can't hire enough employees their product has suffered. The place was only 1/3full and you still have to wait because they can't handle any more patrons. Food takes twice as long to get and my ribs were nothing like I'm used to getting. Seemed like they were old and very dry. We won't be back until we see the parking lot start to fill up again.

3 stars due to service. Had the all you can eat shrimp and ribblets which was very good. 5 stars to the cooking staff. 1 star to the waitress who visited the table 3 times in approximately 2 hours. Had to ask 2 different waitresses for a coffee refill, never got a water in 2 hours. We are typically done in less than an hour, but took 20 min to order, 20+ to get food, 30 min to flag waitress down, then wait another 15 min to order more shrimp. She only had 3 tables, just walk by and go to the back. Food was very good, did leave a 12% tip but would not recommend this location, this type of service when less than a third of the tables occupied and at least 5 waitresses, 2 bar staff a hostess and a manager. Wish there was a way to tip the cook staff and bypass the waitress when they are this bad. Bad when you see her twice in 5 min when paying but only 3 times in 2 hrs when eating. Should have been done in less than an hour if service was normal.

I really enjoyed this place wasn't really expensive for everything I had. Fo9d was very appealing My server kept coming over to check on me and see how my food and drink was. Really talked to me as well.

Not one of the best experiences I had in a while. We were seated at the table at the end of the ramp and temp outside was 32deg, the manager must not know what the design of a foyer is supposed to do. Everytime a person walked through the outside door, we would get a cold rush of air since they blocked open the inner door of the foyer. Second, there was a group seated after us next to us in a different section and that group had their drinks before we even had anyone talk to us. (Obviously a new waitress) so we got our drinks and orders later. We ordered three medium rare steaks and mine was overcooked on one side and seared on the other. My son's first steak was apparently overcooked altogether without us knowing and they started a second steak for him which came out late and undercooked. And my girlfriend's steak came out the same time as mine but undercooked as well. On a good note the beer was cold, the waitress made sure the drinks were full and the broccoli and mashed taters were cooked perfectly. The broccoli actually melted in my mouth so well that a toddler would eat them.
