V N Nails

I’m from a big city and very recently moved here. I didn’t know if I’d be able to find a spot that would be able to my services like I prefer. This place did fantastic, I went in for powder dip nails with Betty and she was wonderful. She was quick, friendly, and did my service EXACTLY like I like. It wasn’t 5 layers of powder left thick and unsightly. She did two layers and filed and buffed them thin and lovely making sure to coat the sides as well which I notice a lot of salons always miss. I will be returning and with Betty for sure

I went over my lunchbreak and let her know, she took the entire break to do my nails which i was only a little annoyed at. I got short plain almond nails which are beautiful. However she filed my nails nonstop to the point that it hurt. She then at the end had gotten some acrylic or polish on top of my hand and used her rough nail buffer to rub it off causing a painful burn/ micro scratches. Will not return. My fingers are sore and my hand is burning.

I used to prefer this place over anywhere else, but it seems they've gotten lazy. The past few times I've gone for a full set, it has been rushed and I left with low quality work. My nails don't look great and are already lifting after a few days.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went in to just polish my nails and the staff was so mean I left crying. This would have been the first time I've had my nails done and they were so rude. I had no idea what I needed to do and they said good when I left in tears. Never again

UPDATE 6/9/20: BOTTOM OF THE NAIL COMPLETELY COMING OFF AND RIPPING MY HAIR OUT WHEN I'M WASHING MY HAIR AND STYLING IT. NAILS ARE JUST FALLING OFF NOW. 5/27/20: Had a dip done. Didn't smooth the nails correctly. Very bumpy. Didn't clean underneath the fake nail either. Worst nail experience I've had. Use to be good here. Didn't clean up nail beds either. So disappointed. Went somewhere else to fix and they were also surprised with how poorly they were done.

I've been coming here for a year. I get a dip on my nails and shellac pedicure. The staff are friendly, quick, and do a fantastic job. I was in today when a woman came in demanding a refund for a regular manicure she got 2 weeks before because the polish chipped the next day after doing dishes. This woman was awful and the staff handled it well even when she made fun of the way they spoke. It was horrifying to listen to her. I was definitely making faces bc she asked what my problem was and I told her I would have told her to get the eff out long before. Rule #1, be nice. Rule #2 regular polish can't be guaranteed so pay up and get dip or shellac.

Got my nails done here on a whim with my 13 year old daughter. We got acrylics done on virgin nails. Our acrylic nails didn't last 1 week and when my nail fell off at week 2,I found FUNGUS under the acrylic nail! I am a stickler about using gloves to wash my dishes and doing all I can to keep my false nails clean and dry. I should have known this would happen, when they were using old nail files, drill tips that weren't pulled from a sanitizing container and didn't wipe down their work area with disinfectant.

My sister-in-law and I went to V N Nails for a solid 5 months, each time getting dip powder sets. They have a really good range of colors, basic colors, shimmers and color changing powders. The durability of the nails were great. We both a deal with rambunctious animals and children daily and the sets held up very well throughout the month. After about five weeks and fairly rapid growth they either popped off or broke in a way that was super painful but that isn't the salon's fault. Now to the downside, while the nails are awesome most of the staff are not. I usually like shorter almond or stiletto shaped nails but depending on who you tell you could end up with a fantastic set or something misshapen that you'll have to go home and fix yourself because they don't want to adjust them while you are there, making it sometimes not worth the 40 dollars you pay per set. The pictures below are just three of the five sets I got while we were going to V N. All in all I like the place but I won't be going back. I am able to do a better, more consistent job myself.

I prefer this salon over others in town. They do a good job and accept walk ins. I usually never have to wait long if at all. They are all very nice.

All the staff were upset. They offer a 15 dollor pedicure but they are upset and angry when you choose that package. Painful and not relaxing inconsistent and sloppy nail polish application. It was on my skin in a lot of areas and still the whole nail wasn't painted. Nail polish shade was different than the shade i selected. If you offer a 15 dollor service you should provide the advertised service.
