Pawliday Inn Kennels

First n last time visited. Didn't like services given while boarding my dogs. Unable to get info on them from kennel while I was gone.

Great place to kennel your pets. Reasonable rates

We found The Pawliday Inn online about two weeks before our trip, and were happily surprised that they had plenty of availability (the weekend after 4th of July), and their prices seemed very affordable! The gal who took the reservation over the phone was very polite but I felt it was a little odd that I never received any confirmation, like an email - it's a pet hotel after all. Our trip was a total of 9 1/2 hours of driving, with a few short breaks along the way, but knowing that the kennel closed at 5:30 pm on weekdays, we had left in plenty of time...However some road construction delays caused us to arrive at the kennel at 5:31 (no exaggeration) but we hoped that being 1 minute late considering the distance we traveled wouldn't negate our reservation. It was clear that we had upset the apple cart by being late... instead of being greeted as apologetic, paying customers, we were scolded by a very frazzled attendant, and advised that the latest drop off time was 5:15 (something the gal I spoke with on the phone forgot to inform us, I guess). Luckily we were able to bring our dogs in, but they were quickly ushered to the back room and we were dismissed without being able to advise on anything specific such as feeding portions or which toys went with each dog. I couldn't help but worry that my dogs would not receive the care I had been confident of when making the reservation. In a positive light, we got to board our dogs close by, we were able to arrange an early pickup time (for no small fee), the dogs were clean, healthy and happy to see us after their two-night stay, and the kennel seemed relatively clean and straight forward. However, the customer service we received at drop off/pick up certainly left something to be desired. I know from experience that working with animals can be a fast paced, stressful chore, but in order for customers to feel they can trust you with their furry friends when they are left in your care, sometimes you have to wipe the sweat and dog slobber away, take a breath and present yourself and your business in a way that is deserving of such trust. Unfortunately, if we ever visit Hastings again, I will be looking for a facility with employees who act like they actually enjoy working with animals.

Our dogs love it here. Becky is a wonderful groomer. Wendy and her staff make sure boarded pets are well cared for.

We have to board our youngest dog when we go out of town since he's 105 pounds of hyper and clumsiness, which makes it difficult for my mother to look after him. In the past year, we have boarded him twice here. They are so kind! And their cost is incredibly reasonable for the services they provide. Our pup comes back to us smelling fresh and looks like he did well while we were gone. Very satisfied with them!

Was great to work with the owners to board the dogs for the weekend while we went out of state.

Such an amazing place to take your dog! They love to see your pet come in and treat them like family. We don't want to take our dog anywhere else!. We drive 45 minutes just to board her there.

Unless your animal is a Pedigree, they won't feed them. Do not leave your pet here unless it's an emergency.

We have boarded here and Becky is our regular groomer. My Dogs absolutely love to go to the Pawliday Inn. They practically push me out of the car so they can go in. It is the best place to take your fur-babies!
