Murphy's Wagon Wheel

Had the Tuesday night special and a pitcher of Octoberfest. Food was served in a timely manner, was hot and juicy with fresh vegetable toppings. Beer was served cold. Waitress was prompt and served us well.

In the downtown district of Hastings Nebraska there is Murphy’s Wagon Wheel. This a great corner setting with an old bar in the center of it. Lots of locals have a set at the bar on a daily occasion. aI would recommend their tender and juicy pork ribeye cooked over hickory wood, I rate it to be the best that I have had. Then right down the street is the old mercantile.

Super busy and not many staff working. Food was pretty good quality. We just waited probably an hour for food.

Very crowded under staffed!! French fries were cold but the burger was very good. The dining room was very cold had to eat with coats on. The food took for ever3

My waitress at the bar was awesome. Food was not wonderful. The cook had an attitude problem. The waitress on the table behind me was a vocal B**** . I’m not racist at all. The cook was in the kitchen with stocking cap, hoodie and a jacket. The vocalists was in black and red PJs and sounded a little autistic. Both were very rude and my rare steak was medium well at best

Good food and great friendly service. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to give suggestions upon request. They have the best chedder cheese balls!!!! Met a nice gentleman that surprisingly paid for my friend, my mothers and my meal. Very blessed 💞

Snuck in and charged for an unwanted higher priced side dish for my plate (my tip showed my disapproval). Tried to put in a higher-priced item for someone else at my table who was more willing to send something back after taking so long to make. Chef clearly doesn't know how to make a good steak, which myself and two other guys at my table who got steak noticed, yet the price was as if it was to be better quality. Would not recommend unless maybe you live locally and know the staff enough to get the better service. Otherwise, steer clear!

Food flavor was good, would of been better had it been warmer. Service was slow even tho it was not very busy (we were done and on the road by 6pm). Waitress seemed to have her head in the clouds.

6 of us at work just ordered meals to go from here. A hair in one burger, burger buns soggy, burgers asked to be cooked medium were completely raw in the center, one burger charred on outside, salads slimy and disgusting. Terrible experience. Not going back.

I got to talking to the GM of Murphy's after we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She told me about how this business has been family owned for over 50+ years. 3rd generation owned finally decided to expand their store to the sky! They will have the first roof top bar in the tri city area! Going back to the food they get their meat locally at Custom Pack. Makes it extra tasty for the fact it's always fresh NEVER frozen.
