Love this restaurant and all the staff; Nancy, Nina, Paula, Kim and back with us Hope. The cooks do an excellent job on the grill. Food is well prepared, hot and delicious. The place keeps the tables clean and sanitized. We have met some nice people there and we are part of the regular crowd. This cafe is like the ones that use to be everywhere in Nebraska and the Great Plains; cozy, simple and easy to find.

We came through from Lincoln, and stumbled across this diamond in the rough! Walking in, you get that friendly small town feeling. Our waitress was pleasant, and the service was fast. My daughter liked her Swiss mushroom burger, but the hot beef my husband and I ordered was AWESOME! Tender meat, homemade mashed potatoes, and fresh gravy. 10/10 would recommend the hot beef!

Great diner food. Lots of in-house made items. The blue berry pancakes have real blueberries and are fluffy plus come with a side of blueberry compote. Good coffee and iced tea. Reasonably priced too.

I really enjoyed my meal at the Goldenrod Cafe on the east edge of town in Hastings, NE. It was recommended to me by one of my excellent high school students who works there (I'm a well-respected substitute teacher for HPS) and what impressed me the most was how affordable and low they've managed to keep their prices even after our recent inflation spikes in the economy AND the portion sizes for their breakfast items seemed generous/above-average. The only thing I would mention to anyone wanting to try them out for the first time is to bring plenty of cash or a check, as they do not currently take debit/credit cards, but for the value, quality, and portion sizes, it's totally worth it!

Amazing little restaurant. The food was positively delicious and very good service. I love these little mom and dad type restaurant’s because they serve a very good meal and don’t gouge your pocketbook in the process. Keep up the great work
