Dragonfly Inn & Suites ... formely ( Rodeway Inn )

I stay here frequently. Room is always clean. Bed is very comfortable. Management is extremely accommodating in placing me in a room with desk workspace, nice office chair, and is easily accessible to get my office equipment unloaded. I have been a customer here for four years and received excellent service and treatment every stay.

Rude, unhelpful staff. No elevators! The stairs are very dark and dangerous to get luggage up at night. There are no outside lights on that side of the building, it's pitch black. No ice machine, it was broken for 5 days and still broken when I left. Not to mention they only have one, on the second floor! If you're on the first floor, sucks to be you. The refrigerator didn't work, the TV didn't work, the beds were stained and horribly uncomfortable. The windows in my room had no screens, if you opened the window you could easily fall from the second floor. Very dangerous if you have kids! The walls are so thin you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. I finally had enough and left early to go to a different hotel.

I came to Hastings for my cousins wedding and read quite a bit of hotel reviews before booking. I didn't want to spend a ton, but also didn't want to get to cheap. I booked online and paid online. This hotel was exactly what expected. We needed a budget hotel and that's what we got. Room was clean when we got there. The gentleman cleaning the rooms I think works the front desk to. There was some guys downstairs a little loud, but not the hotels fault. They had coffee and OJ, and biscuits and gravy they make in a Crock-Pot. My daughter had some and liked it. Anyways, clean room, no bugs or anything like that. Got excatly what I spent my money on, and the people working there always tell you good morning. I would stay here again next time I'm in Hastings 😊 (EDITED 2021. Meant to give this 5 stars not 4 when reviewing. My stay was in October 2018! )

Room had bed bugs an staff is in denial. Don’t let the reasonable rate leave you with bites all over your body. Room smelled terrible. People coming an going at all hours of the night. Management did not care an denied having a problem.

Good room for a short overnight for a job in town. I didn't really get the chance to experience the amenities outside of the bed, which was satisfactory. Rates on hotel and motel rooms have been skyrocketing for years, but especially since the start of the pandemic. The manager gave me a small break on the room rate, but the clients I work for prefer me to find accommodations with rates that are nowhere to be found anywhere anymore! I paid about $62 for the room, I believe, AFTER getting an approximately $5.00 concession. But I'm asked to keep such expenses under $50. Not even possible in a 1-star motel anymore!

While the property is in the middle of a major renovation, the services were excellent. My company rents a room for one driver (me), and other drivers use the room for showers. I informed the front desk of this, and they made sure we had enough towels, soap, and shampoo. They had no problems helping the other drivers get in the room if I was not there. We came in on superbowl day at halftime, and they had a meal for guests. They have a lot of work to do with updating the rooms, but the owner is set on making his property shine.

There is no reason to have a rude, scummy and disrespectful greeter or front desk employee. You can’t even ask for simple help without walking on eggshells just trying to get something you need

Been here before and after new ownership (Nov 2021). 3 stars before, 5 stars now. New owners are doing an amazing job giving the motel a complete revamp and renovation. We stayed in a newly completed room and it was absolutely beautiful. We arrived later than expected from our road trip (1:45am) and the owners actually called to make sure we were okay and still coming. Greeted with a smile even though we woke him up to check in.

Probably one of the nicest owners I have ever met. Amazing rooms. An don't get me started on the breakfast. This place is top notch. Highly recommend yall stay with them. You won't be sorry!!!

Friendly owners who were very accomdating. Awesome rooms. Would recommend.
