Companion's Choice Animal Hospital

I have lived in Hastings for over 40 years and took a lot of my animals to this clinic. When I came back to Hastings in 1993 I had five dogs and I spent a lot of money over the years doctoring with Dr McConaughey he was one of the best doctors in Nebraska. After all of my dogs have passed a few years later I had a different dog and was very very disappointed in the quality of care and lack of communication at this clinic. The office staff that used to work there was so kind and caring and they used to help the veterinarians and they were so understanding. I have to say it's not that same clinic anymore and I had to change veterinarians because I was very disappointed two times when I went there there was a lack of communication that left me very upset.

Excellent staff and service. Rest assured your animals are in good hands at companions choice.

We love everyone here and have taken all our animals. They are always knowledgeable and comforting and have treated my pets liked their own. The waiting rooms and exam rooms are always very clean. There's even coffee available while waiting.

CCAH has always given our fur babies the best treatment and the entire staff truly love our animals. The best feeling is when you get a follow up call after your pet has been seen to make sure all is well! We don't even get that service as humans!! Thank you for all you have done for our pets over the years, we will forever be a CCAH client.

We have always gone to Companion's Choice Animal Hospital for our vet. We took our hamsters there since Dr.Winfield has so much experience with rodents. They were always great and patient even with our not so friendly little ones. We now take our two dogs there and love the friendly staff. We are always treated wonderfully and our pups our treated like family. They are always patient and willing to answer my questions. We love the staff here and definitely recommend !

I'm not one that writes reviews, but my experience with Champion's Choice Vet Hospital was so outstanding, I'm writing one. I was bird hunting with my wire hair pointer 10 miles east of Hastings when she got badly cut by barbed wire. I called Champion's Choice and they told me to get her there as soon as I could. They immediately began to treat Wookie, and found that the cut hard punctured the vein in her leg. I was informed of everything they were doing throughout her treatment and Wookie went home with me that day to recover with more bird hunting in the future. I found Dr. Winfield and her staff amazing, and was charged less than the initial estimate! Thank you for the extremely competent care!

We had never used them but ended up with an emergency and had to bring our dog to them after hours after he was hit by a vehicle. He sadly did not make it but they did literally everything they could. They were extremely helpful handling things after his passing as well. We are forever thankful for them

Bandit Valentine was treated by Hallie Olson DVM and her nurse on 09-29-2022. Bandit had a leg issue and several cancer tumors which I was unaware of. Bandit and I were treated with the utmost respect and gentle care. I am so appreciative of their care and caring attitude towards Bandit who is in Heaven now. Amazing caring vets. My oldest dog is a rescue, we assume about 6, had worms,, parasites, etc, few years later, he was hit by a truck and they helped nurse him back to health. Companions choice was the only vet willing to even try to help my pup sandy after a bad reaction to the parvo vaccine and luckily lived. Their new location is bigger and clean (as always). I could go on and on all day. Only wish they had more dental vet scheduling times and better doggie treats/variety of treats. Absolutely favorite vet ever! I could tell you about how great these guys are all day.

Very professional and friendly staff. Scheduled an appointment quickly and had answers about our pets within a very short time. Dr. Winfield is amazing! She was so caring and compassionate when we had to put our cat to sleep. She discussed every detail and was thorough in making sure we knew what to expect, and offered her support. We are appreciative of how much time she spent with us. Also, they have a quiet grieving room with couches and comfortable chairs along with an ottoman for your pet without the clinical feel of being in a veterinarian's exam room. We are so appreciative of all their help.
