Great food & service with a smile from the owner. She went above and beyond any waitress . We had our asap. Pie to go! & extra hose made pickles. Will be back soon Rockford il was there

Great restaurant, been going here since I was a kid. Small town and diner atmosphere. Staff Is super friendly and it's a family owned restaurant.

First-time customers and we were massively impressed. Our waitress was an older, white-haired lady, and she was excellent. She and the other servers all check everyone's coffee. The food was good, cooked just right.

This is the perfect dive! I had the ham & bean soup which was EXCELLENT and the salad bar that hit the spot! I topped it off with a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie. It was to die for!! The waiter was attentive and funny. Mary was a delight! My new favorite spot. I can’t wait to try breakfast next time.

We travel to see family and decided to stop in. Think God we did absolutely hands down best food and service the owner herself came out and poured coffee and spoke to us and others. There salad bar is always fresh and so good as well as the soup of the day. Down home family feeling with food to match. A must try people. We only eat here when in town. BTW prices are great

The sign says it all. 49 years in business. Quality home cooking. Nothing fancy, very good food. We had breakfast for dinner. Did not walk away hungry.
