Island Inn Grand Island NE I80 Locust St

This motel is AWFUL. Found a bug on the carpet and one crawling on my friends leg. We also entered the room and one of the beds was not made. After telling the staff about the bed they just remade the bed and did not replace the sheets. Trash was still in the garbage can, used bar soap was on the counter, dirt was on the shower floor, there was no physical lock on the door and the only way the door could lock was with the card key, there was a puddle of water on the desk from the window being left open, and the tv remote was missing. The AC “worked” but really did nothing. The room felt muggy and had a terrible smell. We also felt itchy… I’d assume from bugs similar to the one found on my friends leg. To add to this list, the staff was far from ideal to work with. When confronting a staff member about the situation and asking for a refund, he was rude and turned us away. We’re also confused by the fact that staff members entered the room, saw what was wrong, and did absolutely nothing about it. They are also refusing a refund us and have consistently hung up on us, even though they did absolutely no part of their job correctly. They also lied and replied to a review saying that they tried to move us and that there were no bugs, but they did not try to move us after we informed them, and we have pictures of bugs as proof that they lied… We did not stay the night and left. Gave one star because I can’t give negative stars.

This little motel was great! For a motel in this price range, it was really nice. The room was spacious, and all the furniture was in very good condition. Not that I used it, but the full size fridge/freezer was nice, too. The one reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, was because there was no cold water. I just used the sink to brush my teeth, and didn't use the shower because I showered at home just a few hours before I got there (just 1 night stay). But there was only hot water that was really hot, so that was a little uncomfortable. I told someone when I checked out, so hopefully they fixed it.

Clean rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

I stayed there last night, woke up in the middle of it ate up by bed bugs. I went down to the office to inform management, to let them know I couldn’t sleep there any longer and I was leaving. Management acted upset because I had woke them up and asked me what I wanted them to do about it. I stated I would like a refund, showing them the bed bug bites on my arm and side. They refused to refund me stating nothing they could do. I will NEVER stay there again and advise anyone else to do the same. Totally disgusted. 🤬🤬🤬

Very clean affordable hotel. Highly recommend. Stayed 2 nights.

My stay was not pleasant. My friend and I were hoping to have a good stay but upon crawling into my bed I found short black pieces of hair all over the pillow, majorly upsetting and disgusting, especially when it isnt your hair.. If that wasnt enough The bathroom as you can see had what looks like black mold growing by the ceiling. Please update and fix this. Don't stay here.

I was trying to call but no one answers, room 116 is full of bedbugs, he couldn't sleep that night, they had to leave the hotel. This happened on Saturday February 16, 2023

My wife and I stayed there a week ago. The man at the front desk was very rude to us. It was obvious he was racist. He threw the key cards at us and it took him at least 20 minutes to check us in. I've never seen someone so unprofessional in my many hotel experiences. We will never come back here

I wouldn't even bother staying here, I'm almost certain I was doubled charged. Rude chick at the front desk with her finger in her mouth picking something out of her teeth, didn't even greet me. I ended up leaving, because of the random people in and out of the room next to me, terrible.

My wife and I stayed for one night. The service was good, no issues. The room was dirty and the whole building had an odor. The bathroom had mold all over the ceiling. Even for the money, it was a very poor experience. We would never go back and suggest that all other travelers look elsewhere for lodging.
