Freshly remodeled, very bright, much better than the old Village Inn décor that was around for many years. Our server was as friendly and considerate as could be. Food was excellent!

My father goes here a lot. I try to join him about once a week or so. Staff is great! I normally order the ultimate skillet and love it. Keep up the good work.

I went there for lunch all by myself. I was going to have a bowl of soup and slice of pie but nobody ever waited on me. There were 4 waitresses that kept walking by me, talking to other customers and cleaning off tables. Then a lady and her son came in 20 mins after I had sat there and they got waited on. I left told the hostess and also told some ladies who were walking in and they left also. I will never go back there again!!!! If I could give zero I would

I ordered the country fried skillet with eggs and toast. My skillet came out with fried potatoes and sweet potatoes. Country gravy does not go with sweet potatoes. I had to get up and go look for our server to say something about my meal. After they remade it with hashbrowns I never saw my server again until it was time to pay the bill. By no means was the place to busy to attend to customers as there were only four people present. Also your charging more money for less food. I was charged 12.50 for basically a cup of hashbrowns 2 eggs a chicken. Fried teak and gravy. That's about absurd. I don't think I'll be coming back

Food was very good. A little slow getting to us but worth the wait. Had to ask for our check as waitstaff had too many tables. Clean and would return!

My credit card got charged $15 too much, I called and talked to the manager, he said he would get back with me and never did. I called again and he wasn't there but a message was left for him to call me back. No response after weeks. As far as the food goes, the egg whites were not cooked, we didn't get drink refills, service and food was awful but we still tipped 20%. However when I saw the charge on my card it was way more than what was on the receipt. Definitely did not leave a $23 tip.

Thanksgiving noon meal. Outside temperature is 50 degrees and they have the door propped open. Customers sitting inside with coats on. Our sever brought my glass of ice water spilled all over my wife's purse. Ordered the turkey dinner, came out quickly too bad food was warm. Didn't send it back. Just ate it. Paid with cash and no tip. Dining room was cold food was warm. Nobody came around and asked how my meal was, because I would have told them.

Will never go back to 'The' Village Inn after last evening's visit. First, why mess with a good thing? Why??? Yes, the place needed remodeling and updating but they have changed a familiar, comfortable, and reasonably priced menu with 'First Watch' type of breakfast foods and totally messed up the vibe. Let me tell you what went wrong. This is my opinion so if you don't like it, go to 'The' Village Inn. Otherwise... Ordered the 'VIB' and country potatoes are no longer the hot squares from before. They are regular and Sweet potatoes mixed together. Not everyone likes sweet potatoes. I told the waitress I would just pick out the sweet ones but lo' and behold, you can't visually discern which is which. On top of all of that, stone cold. I mean they were not even room temperature. I pushed them to the side and she asked what was wrong, I told her and she offered hash browns, I declined. Next up, the over easy eggs. Now, I know over easy has a risk but when clear fluid runs out of the whites, it means IT IS NOT COOKED. I sent them back rather than run the risk of getting sick. She looked at me like I had two heads. They wanted to comp me for my meal. I refused out of pride. I ordered and I should be responsible. So they took 50% off my bill which ended up at $6.48; I generously gave $12.00 and the rest went to the server. They absolutely ruined this place and again, I will never, ever go back there. Serve HOT food and stop trying to become a 'fine dining' establishment for breakfast.

Alright, so way back when my family and I used to frequent Village Inn restaurants. Unfortunately they closed the ones in my area and it appears they tried to do the same in Fremont. So someone went above and beyond and bought the restaurant and named it "The Village Inn". The food was great, tasted just like it used to back in the day. I am definitely going to be returning and getting more pie again soon. Awesome remodel and great location.

Tonight I had one of the best Cobb salad, excellent side of corn and a memorable slice of triple berry pie. Excellent corn? Yes! This corn was roasted on the cob seasoned with a little bit of garlic and presented as you can see below. Some of the best corn I have ever eaten. It was fresh, sweet, and corny. The Cobb salad was made with farm fresh ingredients; a far cry from the Cobb salads offered in the big cities. If you look at the picture you’ll see one chicken breast; What makes these chicken breasts different is that they were roasted on one side. That’s a gourmet technique. I didn’t ask if the triple berry pie was baked in the house, but it was richly flavored. I had the pie heated which is why it slumped. I like to play with my food and took small bites of the pie to see if I could tell the difference between the boysenberries, raspberries and the blueberries. To my astonishment I could tell when I breathed. By the way, my compliments to my focused and charming Server (Sydni) whose insightful suggestions made this meal all the more memorable.
