Rose Motel

Great little motel. The staff is very friendly. Looks to be family owned and run. I highly recommend fur a peaceful stay

Not a bad place, room was clean, has all your basic amenities like cable, coffee, fridge, microwave.. Bathrooms were clean, beds ok. Only thing thats outdated is the heating n cooling.. Noisy unit that's either burning hot or nothing at all.. Needs to be adjustable, nobody wants to keep turning it off n on through the night..

The rose Motel is a very quaint hotel. It is the only hotel in town and I have been here several times and every time it is exactly what we needed. It is not the Ritz-Carlton but it is not a roach motel, either. The staff is wonderful and I slept great in a clean room.

Circa 1960s - 1970s 'motor lodge'. A clean enough place with updated (for its era) fixtures. The owner was a bit curt, considering we were his first lodgers for the day, but being a curmudgeon myself I can forgive that. I'll even forgive his rates even though I've paid better prices at chain motels. I can't imagine he gets a lot of business and it was nice to find SOMEthing in the town while my truck was being looked at.

Fantastic little hotel!!! We called to check availability and was able to get a room for the same night! In town for a friend's viewing and funeral. Decided we'd like to stay a second night and was quickly and efficiently accommodated. Owners are so sweet and kind. Room was clean. King size beds are available. Coffee maker, fridge and microwave in our room. Was able to park our peterbilt semi on the property! We were bobtailing (no trailer). Bathroom was clean. Highly recommend staying here when your in David City! We'll definitely stay here on our next visit 😀

My room was ok. Bed wasn't very comfy. The walls were kinda dirty. I think they had just flipped the fitted sheet over instead of putting a clean one on. My friends room had a broken bed, she spent the night trying not to roll off.

Seemed okay the first time I stayed. Second time they changed the price on me from $60ish to $70ish even though nothing had changed. Also, the second time I stayed there, there was an old piece of pizza laying on the floor when I arrived, emanating an unpleasant odor. There was also a rusty hole in our bathroom sink. The third time I stayed, the price somehow jumped up to $100 and some change, even though everything was the same. When I asked why it was different every time, I was given no clear answer and the cashier evasively brushed my question aside. Very unsatisfied with my experience with the Rose Motel and the 3 different prices for each time I had stayed all within the same month.

For a small town this was a nice motel. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, plenty of towels. Only drawback... I checked out a day early & was only given a partial refund price of the room ($$) because “taxes were already paid & he was loosing money for my early departure”. I had given him 24 hr notice, though it wasn’t stated that it was required. 4/19/2022:This motel is under new ownership. From what I have been told by local residents, this is not a good place to stay at anymore. If possible,Seward,NE is 25 miles South of David City. They have motels along I-80 that are nice. I would suggest you drive there. If you’re coming from the south,Columbus,NE is 25 miles NW of David City. I would suggest you drive there. Pass this motel by.

My mom stayed there recently and was charged 80 a night and not the 61 like advertised.

Our room was clean, comfy bed and friendly staff. Great little no frills motel.
