We used to come here every weekend and eat. They recently just changed it to where you order before you seat yourself and get your own drinks. Absolutely horrible. You had a great thing going and it went to garbage. Why would I determine my tip before I even get my food or see how the service is? It looks like we will be going back to the Picket Fence every weekend until things change. Way to ruin a great breakfast place.

Wonderful deal on a Friday afternoon for Chinese! Good was delicious and fresh with a wide variety. They usually post on their Facebook page their weekly specials or have a board in the store. The Chinese department manager really makes an effort to serve the highest quality meals! Sushi is wonderful too, best in town!

Safe to say we didn’t put this groomsmen cake out at our wedding…we asked for a 12” cake to look like a whitewall tire that said good year and our wedding date. This is embarrassing what they gave us and made us pay for…but it was $13 worth of laughter.

Pharmacy tech always helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't know they refer to pharmacist quickly and without a hitch. The pharmacists are very personable and develop relationship with the customer/patient. Important support for anyone challenged with health problems.

I used to love going to Hy-Vee to get chinese food, but when I went there tonight there were at least four entrees that were about 3/4 empty and all of the food was dried up. I can't believe they would even offer that for sale. I asked one of the employees when the next batch was going to be ready, she said not until this is gone. The noodles were all dried up and hard, the rice had a dried up crust on top. You would think everything would be nice fresh at 5:30.

I have been in this establishment four different times since moving to Columbus. I have been testing every employee I have came in contact with including the store manager (store director) rightfully so directing you in every direction without doing the most to provide premier customer service. My suggestion shop at super saver or Walmart. I am not sure if it is my experience with grocery retail or just retail in general, but there are no helpful smiles in those aisles. My most recent trip and my last, I saw a gentleman who helped me by taking my information about a special item order, don’t do it by the way, they never did it right and never called me back, he ran off. And I was lost couldn’t find the restrooms, and this woman who appeared to the price/scan clerk one of three that I saw I believe looked right at me knowing I was confused and lost went passed me to helped an elderly person asking if they help, I was shocked because I was more confused than the elderly person who said they didn’t need help. Eavesdropping was something encouraged when I was employed by their competition. The store it just sucks. And associates follow their leaders. If they don’t care nor will they.

A few years ago, I would have said I love this store, but not any more. They've implemented changes that are not consumer friendly. They put in self check stands. So after walking around for several minutes, you now have to wait on yourself too. Which brings me to my next point. They have rearranged the entire store so now you can't find anything. Nothing makes sense. When they were starting this I told a manager of some sort, that I didn't like what they had done. He replied that once I caught on to the new system I would love it. Well I don't. I hate it. I used to buy the bulk of my groceries here, but I'm not anymore. Having raised 3 sons, we spent many dollars here over the years. I'm sad to see what it had become.

We recently moved to Columbus from Salt Lake City. We were worried about finding a nice grocery store with premium services like delivery and excellent customer service in such a small town. My wife absolutely loves Hy-Vee which means I love Hy-Vee. We bought a Hy-Vee Plus Membership which has great benefits like free delivery and special deals. Hy-Vee is by far the best grocery store in town.
