Husker Steak House

Oh my gosh! Food, fantastic! And plenty of it! Serving size, huge! Service, outstanding! We went on a Thursday night, arriving at about 6:15. Immediately seated, drinks arrived promptly, ordered the appetizer platter with bacon-wrapped beef tips and fried mushrooms and shrimp. Just the right size for the two of us. Side salads with fresh lettuce, carrots, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes were delish. All their dressings are homemade, except Dorothy Lynch which I had. My bride raved about the ranch. Main course arrived promptly. We both had ordered the country fried steak, and when it arrived the steaks were so big we asked the server to box one up and we split the other. Even between the two of us, we struggled to complete it. If you are in, or near, Columbus, this is the place to eat. We WILL be back!!

Great place and wonderful food. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly.

This was so great, some of the best service we have had in a long time. Prime rib was delicious. We are planning on going back. Yes it is kinda set up odd. The desk is literally at the front door. But it is called Husker house because it was an originally a house, it's Been around since 1950 for good reason.

Solid food in a family style atmosphere. When it gets busy you can expect to share elbow room with others. Very nice servers.

We were there early so we were seated quickly. Our server, Cara, was amazing. We had appetizers and wine, prime rib and liver and onions . Everything was great. We had chocolate martinis and cheesecake for dessert

Quality has gone down! Good was horrible. Prime rib was soo tough. 2 cuts. 1lb Ribeye was ¾ fat and gristle. Even their spaghetti was bad. Dry and hard. Past al dente. Used to be great. Last few times not so much. I won't be back.

We asked the clerk at our hotel where the best place to eat was and she recommended Huskers. They did not disappoint. We ordered 1/2 rack of ribs and could not eat them all! The pasta was delicious as well!

They get busy it's awesome so be patient we frequent us-30 raceway on Thursdays this place puts out some of the best fork cutting prime rib on the planet. They also make their own onion rings that will make you smile in delight. Service is always friendly and is.great!

Had a lovely dinner out with family just before the end of the year. We arrived just before they opened and we’re seated right away. Good thing because the whole restaurant was full by the time we were ready to leave. Service was superb! It’s been a long time since I’ve had the appropriate timing of my meal (as in we didn’t have to wait for our next course and also didn’t have multiple plates sitting overcrowded on the table). Everything we ordered came out cooked perfectly, was attractively plated and tasted great. The table ordered sirloins, prime rib, chicken fried steak and burgers - everyone left the table satisfied and happy. The price point is reasonable but will keep our visits limited to special occasions - which is ok. Go check them out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
