Please take my advice and STAY away from this place. They are very rude and disrespectful. If you have an issue with them, Administration will speak to you as though YOU did something wrong. They speak to people in a very childish and rude manner. My child came home with bruises and I asked to review cameras like they tell you that you can "anytime". The VERY FIRST thing that was said to me was..."This is why we don't like to hire people when their kids go here". My wife worked here at the time...Administration raised her voice to me and pointed her finger in my face, like I was her child, while she spoke to me. She treated me like I was an idiot the entire time, not once asking if my child was alright but instead gave all of the reasons why it couldn't have happened there... She is VERY unprofessional and VERY rude.. It's not worth your time or money...

Stay away! Beware! We just moved to Omaha and a friend from church mentioned this daycare so I thought I'd give it a try so I scheduled a tour. When hubby and I arrived right away the owner (Ms. Audery) was very pushy and overbearing. She kept mentioning I give her $75 NOW for enrollment fees to hold their spots because she magically only had 3 spots open & she knew I had 3 children. She even said she moved children around to "accommodate me" *rolling eyes. I wasnt even sure I was gonna use her and she was already bugging for money. Next, I was asking questions and she kept talking and talking about how great she and the daycare was she wouldnt let me speak or get a word in. I asked for her personal cell number because I explained this would be the 1st time I left my children in anyone else's care and she said "I dont give my personal cell out you can call the office cell like everyone else. If someone gave my personal cell out I'd fire them." Wow, the way she talks to people! There were so many wow moments. My husband and I would look at each other like did she really just say that??! While I was there there there was a little boy who came in her office crying because he was getting bullied by another boy there. She ignored the problem because she was chatting and chatting with me trying to get me to give her the $75 and trying to sell me on her daycare. If a daycare is great one can see for themselves you dont have to go into a sales pitch. But while I was standing there about 15 minutes later the boys mom came in and asked Ms. Audery if she knew anything about the bullying because her son was scared of being there. Right away Miss Audrey got defensive and said there was no way the bullying was there because she has cameras & if it happend she would know about it it had to be at his school. Ms Audrey is very rude and condescending. She acts like a know it all and I'm sure it rubs off on the children there. My "tour" lasted 3 hours because she wouldnt stop talking. Yet, when I had a question she didnt answer it she told me what she expected like I was the child. Another thing that turned me off is she needs 30 hours per child per week which I get. I only go to school for 2 days so I agreed to have my 3 children there 3 days so they met her 30 hours 10 hr days and she explained that wouldnt work that they would miss too many days and projects. She said they would have to come x5 days a week for 6 hours per day. And she said they wouldnt be able to come after 9am. If they missed more than 2 days I'd have to give her a 2 week notice or pay her even though they went there. Hello? I'm the mother!! What projects could they possibly miss? My babies are 2 years, 1 year and 4 months. My school isnt till noon so why would i bring them before 9am? I asked if I could bring them around 11am and she said no. Lol, okay, I've never met a women so controlling and pushy when she cost x2 more than most places and her daycare isnt all that. For my 3 kiddos she would have been getting $2400 a month from us and to talk to us like this and to pick MY days and times I could come? Update she called me the day after and the day after bugging for the enrollment fees. After everything my husband told me to call her and tell her we were terminating our association with Caritas and we would find somewhere else. Even after that on the phone she gave attitude about finding somewhere else. Goodluck anyone who attempts to go here! Dont even get me started on her parent handbook there are some weird things listed. She says bugs go around so your child WILL get them so u need to list ur #1 emergency contact and if you or the contact are unable to pick them up within ONE hour she takes ur child to the police station and you pick them up there. This lady is crazy. Thank God my gut told me to go with somewhere else! The outside looks nice bc its huge but all that looks nice ISNT nice. Ms. Audery looks tired and overworked and with all the money she makes (she told me 120 children there handbook says shes allotted 100) she cant even get a damn pedicure.

My kids have been going to Caritas daycare and the experience so far has been GREAT!! This daycare has so many great things about it the staff is wonderful from the moment you walk in not only do you feel welcomed but also secure , Caritas daycare has cameras outside watching who comes in and out of the daycare which is Very comforting , especially with the crazy world we live in! Caritas Daycare is a very clean facility, the bathrooms are clean for the kids and all the classrooms are clean. They also have art hung up everywhere made by the children that go there. Both my kids even my 1 year old come home with art they made in their classroom , I love this because my kids aren’t stuck in front of a screen all day and they are not just getting babysat all day they are being cared for while being taught!! In every classroom there is a schedule made for the day and I have came in during circle time and seen how they sing and teach the days of the week and colors to my daughter! I am someone who always said daycares weren’t for me because of the many bad things you hear on the news of different daycares but I don’t regret it a bit! I have yet to meet a rude teacher or seen any teacher mistreat any children. Another thing I absolutely love about caritas cottage is that they will always maintain ratios which is state law . This meaning each teacher can only stay with a certain amount of children at once. This alone is HUGE because it assures me that my daughter is receiving quality care. I have nothing negative to say about them!! Extremely satisfied!!

Be careful with the staff at Carritas Cottage. They don't watch the kids like they are supposed to. They only like to deal with easy children. They will tell you your son/daughter is doing good when they are not and you have to hear it from the Director that your child is having issues. The Director does not know how to talk to parents and is super passive aggressive. Also the parking lot there is small. If you come around 4pm to pick up your child good luck finding a parking space. Potential daycare lookers, please beware there are so many other daycare providers around here. Please don't waste your money there.

My kids have been attending for over 1 year. The staff are great. Plus, they are open all the time, even when the Air Force Base calls a "snow day", these hard working ladies are there at 0600. My kids love their teachers here.

I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. Please, please, please think twice before taking your children here. My daughter was here only for a few months. First off, she was given the wrong amount of formula. My daughter uses a different kind of formula that has a different quantity per ounce. We explained this to them from the start but my daughter was given watered down formula for who knows how long until we figured it out. She lost weight, wasn't eating/sleeping. The owner/director is rude and is not open to discussing any concerns. She seems very nice at first and sells you on the daycare fast. But I agree with the previous reviewer, she is 100% deceitful and a liar! They give the kids cheap food and she acts like she all about a healthy/organic lifestyle..not when it comes to her business! My daughter got sick from the food. But what made us leave the daycare was the fact that she developed a SEVERE diaper rash. So bad that we had to take her to the doctor and she was on antibiotics! My daughter NEVER had a diaper rash in her life until she came to this daycare. And they tried to blame us for the rash. Yea right! We talked to them but they were not willing to offer any kind of compensation for this. In fact, we had to pay a termination for leaving even though we were leaving for these reasons. Unbelievable. The staff and assistant director are nice but the turnover among their staff is high. They claim the infants are on a 1:4 ratio (1 adult for 4 babies) but that is not the case. I've seen about 12 children in the infants room with only 2 teachers several times. The children are just not given the attention they need. The owner is all about the $$. Please stay away from this place

I had a horrible experience with my last daycare and I could not be happier we were able to get our son into Caritas. I did a lot of research on this facility and after taking my son there for 8 months I still LOVE it. He was behind with his speech and communication skills before starting here and they work with him everyday and I have seen a great improvement. We love all of the staff and he runs to them every morning.

Trying to find a new daycare for our son who needs to go an extra day, unfortunately we cannot afford an extra day in his current daycare. We have to give them a month notice so contacting daycares for info, upon contacting this one they refused to answer any questions until it's "closer" to when he will need to switch which is very unprofessional and rude in my opinion. Fortunately there are plenty of responsible daycares out here that are happy to provide information about their business so that we can make a decision before we have to switch. I am glad you did not answer our questions because it caused me to read the comments which only point out your rudeness before we even stepped foot in your building...I feel very sorry for the kids there.

My two children have been attending this facility for the last 2 years and we are greatly pleased with their services. From the first interaction with the owner when considering this facility she was very nice and even excited to show off her facility and providers. Even with short notice she was able to give me a thorough tour of the facility and happily discussed her child care philosophy and journey. I love their location, building, indoor gym area and their separated age specific playgrounds. They have always had good communication with us and the kids show growth in their development with the curriculum they follow. When my oldest started kindergarten they were able to offer before and after care and I got to keep my children together for an easier pick up and drop off. I have never experienced anything that would create doubt in their excellent care and though my family has benefited from military Child Development Centers across the country over the years, Caritas Cottage has definitely surpassed them all. I would absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

Our child went here from 6 mos-4 yrs, until we moved. We definitely miss Carita’s and the quality of care/sense of family. Our child loved going there every day, learned so much and we never had any issues.
