A great overall practice, but there is one vet to avoid…Dr. Robison. I wanted to share my experience from October 2021. My husband and I were moving our dog to the UK and worked with the team at Bellevue Animal Hospital on all of the paperwork, vet checks, etc. It was complicated and required a lot of appointments, but Mary from the practice was incredible in managing it all. If you’re ever looking to transport a pet overseas, contact Mary! She was extremely proactive, knowledgeable and kind. We mainly worked with Dr. Pfeiffer throughout our various appointments and she was also fantastic. Cannot recommend them both enough. However, there was a shocking incident that occurred with a vet named Dr. Robison during one of our appointments. It was supposed to be a quick appointment where Dr. Robison was to administer a tapeworm treatment and fill in one section of a form that confirmed this had been done. Only one person was allowed into the room with the vet and the assistant, so I went in and my husband sat in the lobby. Dr. Robison came in and started doing the same exam our dog had just a few days previously had. That is not the main issue, the issue began after I questioned (politely) “why are we doing this again?” as I was curious and thought it would be a very quick appointment. I was told by Dr. Robison “It’s my signature going on the health certificate paperwork and I didn’t examine him so I am going to do it again.” It was delivered sharply and with authority – and with that, the intimidation tactics began. I complied with this, and mentioned our dog would find an ear exam stressful. Dr. Pfeiffer easily dealt with this previously by putting a little cheese on the table and with the assistance of a vet tech, they examined his ears without incident. Dr. Robison requested a muzzle to be brought in, to which I said “I’m not happy with that.” and his response was a harsh “I don’t care if you’re not happy.” After an unusually lengthy muzzle/ear exam I mentioned that I got along great with Dr. Pfeiffer last week and that me and him didn’t seem to be on the same page. I also said I did not appreciate how he was speaking with me or handling my dog. At this point, the assistant left the room and when alone he said “I find you offensive”, to which I asked in what way, and instead of explaining how I was somehow offending him he slammed the tapeworm injection down on the table by the door, walked out the door and said “find someone else to give him the shot then”. I then flagged down a team member to get another vet to help us since Dr. Robison had stormed out. Another kind vet, Dr. Truax, came in and gave our dog the tapeworm shot and we were ready to go. Dr. Truax brought in Dr. Robison again to speak to us later – giving him a chance to hear both accounts and presumably to allow for Dr. Robison to apologize. However there was no apology and Dr. Robison stormed out again! During this second encounter with Dr. Robison, I explained what had happened and how this was not ok, and his response was “I’m sorry you feel that way.” He then proceeded to try to defend his actions to my husband. I had to request Dr. Robison look and speak to me. Once he finally looked at me and began recounting “his side of story”, he full out lied. He claims that I had called him offensive (not the other way around) and he was going to “be helpful” and find a different vet to assist me. Total falsehoods. At this point I said he was lying and he responded with “I have better things to do than be in a room with someone I find so offensive”, turned on his heels and right in front of his boss he stormed out of the room for the second time in about 15 minutes! The lack of professionalism was shocking and something I would never want anyone else to go through. I did file a formal complaint with the practice, but felt it was finally time to share my experience as its troubled me ever since.

I have only had exceptional experiences with their exotic vets. Went to another animal hospital due to availability and they did not come close the standard of care I have come to expect at Bellevue Animal Hospital. Made me that much more grateful. I highly recommend them for individuals with pet hamsters. #Adopt don’t shop

It's generally very easy to get into this hospital. Wait times are reasonable. It's more pricey than the military vet clinic and a few others but I like the convenience.

I have yet to have a positive experience with Bellevue Animal Clinic. I have been there three times and each time has been terrible. The first time they only allowed parking lot drop off of your animals due to their covid restrictions. When my Koraline came back to be she hid all day in the closet and couldn't be coaxed out. The second time we scheduled a dental exam for her and apparently the exam date wasn't the same as the one on the paperwork I was given, because I received a snide call asking why I didn't show up. It was because they wrote the incorrect date on my paperwork. The third time we tried to get another dental appointment scheduled but their x-ray machine was down. I was told I would be put on a waitlist to get her an appointment when it was back up. Instead I received another phone call telling me that her appointment was the next day. We, sadly, were not in town. All of this on top of the fact that they still have covid rules for their business which are above and beyond what local Government requires. Masks required for a business in a city that hasn't had mask mandates for months. I would go elsewhere if you are looking for anything other than incompetency and unnecessarily strict covid restrictions.

**LIFE-SAVING MIRACLE (PLEASE READ)** This is our family dog named Buster we have had the past 4 years. He has provided nothing but love, energy, and hope for our beloved family. We recently moved to a new house and found out there was a gap in the fence, in which he escaped on 10/8/19. We searched for countless hours in desperation and heartbreak. We posted all over the “Lost Pets of Bellevue” Facebook page, made trips to the Nebraska Humane Society, received calls from the local police department of his last known location of travel, stayed glued to our phones waiting for a phone call. On 10/9/19 we received a phone call from a young man who spotted Buster huddled in the corner by his house before mowing. We immediately rushed over to find him laying in the corner, his eye bulging out, scared, and barely stable. A painful image that we can never erase from memory. It was very clear that some sort of animal (most likely a larger dog) attacked him. Buster was fortunately able to hold out through the night as the temps fell cold. When we picked up his helpless body, I immediately suggested Bellevue Animal Hospital as it was the closest and we had previously taken our animals there. Also, we knew that Dr. Maltry was there and was an eye specialist. As we walked through the door, nearly everyone in the room dropped what they were doing and escorted us into a room. Within less than 3-5 minutes, we had at least 5-6 people in the room assisting. We soon came to a realization that Buster would need to undergo an emergency eye removal surgery and later on, a jaw surgery as it was fractured badly in many places. Dr. Maltry instantly realized of how serious these issues were and needed to act fast. She decided to clear the entire rest of her day to devote to us which resulted in her staying at the office past 8pm to watch over Buster! Since the surgeries, Buster has transformed into his normal, playful, happy self with the never ending love and support transferred from the skilled team over at Bellevue Animal Hospital and Dr. Maltry. We will always be eternally grateful for your actions that saved Buster's life, and our family! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! ❤️️🙏

Dr. Robison is extremely caring and compassionate! You can tell he takes his job seriously. He treats all three of my kitties and goes above and beyond to help them. I know when I go here I won't be pushed to do any unnecessary testing. I'm beyond thankful for this place! Everyone is always friendly as well even if it's the front desk staff or the technicians in the room. Thank you for continually providing excellent medical care and outstanding customer service!

I brought my dog in who sadly passed away at home. They were very respectful and gave me all the time I needed to be with him.

I have been taking all of my animals here for years. I started going to BAH because I have a parrot and so few vets care for birds. They have always been great to me. When one of my dogs passed from cancer, I received a card in the mail from Dr. Rock-Paul, saying how sorry she was to hear my furbaby had passed. They are a bit pricey, but my animals mean the world to me and all the docs are very thorough. Couldn't ask for better care ❤️

My dog had an emergency and it was an icy day, so I didn't want to drive to Millard where my vet is to have him checked. Bellevue Animal Hospital got us right in. Checked him all out gave him some meds and we were on our way. It was a bit more expensive than my vet would have been, but it was an emergency and it took awhile, but all in all it was good.

Dr. Grant and Kim (vet tech) are amazing!! Both are not only professional and highly skilled, but also incredibly compassionate. I can not thank them enough for all they do.
